About

Julien Brun — set & lighting designer.

Julien Brun is a set and lighting designer working internationally across theater, opera, and live performance. Based between France and Germany, his work spans from intimate studio productions to large-scale opera houses.

His approach blends architectural thinking with atmospheric light, creating spaces that serve the drama. Each project begins with the text, the music, or the concept. The design emerges from a deep dialogue with directors, performers, and the material itself.

He has collaborated with companies and institutions across Europe, designing for stages in Paris, Berlin, Zurich, Geneva, and beyond. He also teaches set and lighting design at several art schools and universities.
